Who we are

This site is operated by Velvet Group LLC ("Velvet", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

We keep this site deliberately light and carry no advertising or social media trackers. With your permission, we use first-party visitor analytics to understand how this site is used. If you decline, this analytics system does not run. We store your choice in a first-party preference cookie for up to 180 days. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.

• Inquiries. When you use the contact form we receive your name, company, the topic you choose, your email address and your message.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data for every request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver and secure the site.
• Visitor analytics. If you allow analytics, we record a random browser identifier, IP-derived approximate location, IP address and network provider, browser and device details, referring site, pages viewed, active time, scroll depth and interactions such as clicks and form-field names. We also record a visual session replay. All form input values are masked; passwords and the contents you type are not included in analytics.

Why we use it

• To read and answer your inquiry and to take steps you ask for before any agreement. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where relevant, steps prior to a contract.
• To keep the site secure and working. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
• To understand visits and improve the site, including through masked session replay. We do this only with your consent, which you can decline in the choice shown on the site.

Visitor activity may be summarised into an engagement score so our authorised team can understand which visits show more interaction. The score may help prioritise human follow-up, but it does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions: Vercel Inc. for hosting and Resend for delivering form messages to our inbox. Visitor analytics is first-party and stored in our private database; no advertising analytics provider receives it. Links on this site to other websites, such as playasone.app and venuevista.co, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

International transfers

Velvet is based in the United States, so your data will be processed there. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as the conversation is active and for up to twenty four months afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law or you ask us to delete them sooner. Visitor analytics, including IP addresses and interaction events, is deleted after 90 days; session recordings are deleted after 30 days. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period under its own retention rules.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for using those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
